The Success Power Hour

The Success Power Hour should be the first thing we assign ourselves every morning upon waking.

According to Kevin Purdy in a Work Smart article he declared that the first hour of your day matters a great deal. This is what I call the Success Power Hour. It is a time when you can see everything clearly. It is a time when you can accomplish one set goal. It is a time to focus on the human side of work and not just a list of things to do for that day.

Purdy advises against checking your email before at least 10:00 a.m. When you do this it is counter-productive.

The first segment should be spent gaining awareness and accept being grateful. Allow time for exercise, affirmations, acknowledging your blessings and visualization. As you do your exercise routine, even though short, it will give you the courage to extend your routine and even if you don’t you will feel a sense of accomplishment in that you did do something for yourself. You can assign a certain amount of minutes within the Success Power Hour (say 10-15 minutes) to do this task.

Affirmations are very important in creating manifestations of your desires. You should have a list of them available to post on an obvious place where you can see them, say them and visualize them every day. I always think about affirmations as seeds that you water to help grow your trees of manifestations. I like the phrase “You can have what you say”. It is a true saying and it really works. I like to put mine on 3 x 5 cards in magic marker ink and tape them to the mirror. One of the first things we do when we wake up is go to the bathroom. This makes a perfect spot that you definitely will not miss. Assign a certain amount of time within the Success Power Hour to achieve this act.

Next you’ll want to think about all the things that you are grateful for. The blessings you have received, the health of yourself and your loved ones, that fact that everyone around you is working or has a job or has their own business. Anything that you feel is a blessing and that you are thankful for should fall into this category. Thanks makes room for more. I always like to refer to scripture and I think this one is appropriate for this occasion:

1 Thessalonians 5:18

Give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.

And the last part is you want to visualize. What do you truly want in your life? See yourself with that object or thing. See yourself smiling and laughing and enjoying and sharing it. Try to feel the exhilaration of the moment. Hold on to that feeling. Take that feeling with you for the rest of your day.

By consistently using the Success Power Hour method to start your day, success will become increasingly inevitable as you attain your dreams.
