Personal growth is the greatest benefit of mistakes. However you must reflect on the inside what it is that you were taught by this mistake. What did you learn about the whole incident?
Most times you learn that you don’t have all the answers. Sometimes you need to listen to advice given by others as well as to carefully weigh the outcomes of a situation before you jump into it.
I find that sometimes you don’t get the lesson immediately. Further down the line something triggers the memory of the mistake and then you are able to realize the lesson that you have learned or should have learned. It’s not always easy to recognize an error because most people don’t want to be wrong so they continue in denial, never learning why they were brought to that circumstance in the first place. But there is a reason.
We all have faults and we all make mistakes. What we should value however is the fact that most of us do learn from our mistakes. And it’s alright to be wrong sometime. We’re only human. (At least that’s the excuse we give).
So we know that everyone will make mistakes, but it is what we do after that that counts. Remember, there’s no training course for life. There’s nothing to it….. but to do it.
